My new garden spot being tilled and readied for enclosed garden hoop to protect from deer.

The base frame, reclaimed deck boards, note black conveyer belt 12" strips to act as weed block, mower protection and discourage digging. I staked each arch with 1/2 conduit pounded into ground. 2/4 pvc held in place with screw going through base board, pvc and conduit.

We hung a screen door inside a frame. Door open out. Added braces. My brother and I.

This is the other end. Framed 2 wood frame salvaged screens. Added braces. Next i will staple rabbit fence to open areas on ends and cover entire hoop from side to side with deer mesh. No plastic sheeting at this time. Maybe in the fall to extend growing season. It is awesome!!! I will get compost/ manure , till some more and begin planting. Very excited... Thank you Greg ( my brother).

I added more ribs, stabilizing side braces, painted pvc black AND covered in deer mesh. I suspended the roll on rope lopes while i stapled and zip tied to frame.

It's done except for beefing up zip ties that attach mesh to frame. It is awesome. I am ready to begin planting. I tilled ground adding 6 40# bags manure compost. My small honda tiller is powerful and fits in tight spots. The birds are a bit confused, a robin kept hopping around frame trying to get to fresh tilled dirt. A sparrow flew into mesh. I may need to add sparkle ribbons to warm birds. I wonder if i'll need to reinforce lower 24 -36" against paws, racoon. Didn't think of that till i was done. So it goes with an inventors tinkering.

This is awesome. You mentioned several things were repurposed or reclaimed but what would you estimate the cost of putting this together? We've gotta put something similar together over our three 4ft x 8 ft raised beds, critters are reaping all the goodness from our hard work. Again, nice work!
